I don't know about you, but when it seemed to me like Ron Paul was going to just sweep the obvious vote fraud from the New Hampshire Primary under the rug and carry on with his campaign as if it didn't even happen- I was ready to MUTINY! I was hoppin' mad, and I know I wasn't alone- because many of you emailed me to express similar outraged sentiments.

WILL RON PAUL AUTHORIZE AN AUDIT OF THE NEW HAMPSHIRE PRIMARY?

Because I want Ron to read this, I have lobbed it in to him via his brother, Reverend David Paul in Michigan who I am in contact with by phone and by email, and I have also lobbed it in to him via Norm Singleton, Ron's Legislative Director who I've known for years.

When I emailed Devvy to thank her for her superbly written and very timely article, she emailed me back with this latest news: New Hampshire Republican Recount On the Cards http://www.prisonplanet.com/articles/january2008/100108_recount.htm   Thing is, I am still pissed off about this. The Granny Warriors (Linda Hunnicutt from North Carolina and her crew that travels nationwide in a mobile home stumping for RP) shouldn't have to bear this burden, Ron should have taken some of the $20 Million we broke our asses to raise for him and he should have been willing to emulate Dennis Kucinich who authorized a recount on the Dem side, so I'm not happy about this, but there could also have been some strategic discussion about this between Linda and Ron's staff which might have decided to play a PR game figuring if Ron stuck his neck out on this one it would just be one more thing the media would attack him over.

I am profoundly grateful to Linda though for taking this on because before I read this thing Devvy sent me I was feeling like wanting to punch Ron in the face. If you'd like to contribute to the Granny Warriers to help pay for this recount, you'll find a link to their website at the link above. Personally, I think RP should have taken this on and been willing to pay for it from his campaign warchest which all of us have crawled over broken glass to contribute to- but he may have had some strategic reason for doing things this way.

Maybe its better for Al Howard, a political unknown to be the one to spearhead this on the Republican side of the aisle because it will take some of the media heat of Ron at a time when he's already catching flack from all sides and could use some breathing space.

Personally, I am VERY greatful to Linda Hunnicutt of the Granny Warriers for creating this breathing space for all of us. I chuckle inwardly when I think about Linda because she truly embodies the strength and courage of the people of the great state of North Carolina, a place I've always loved. When I lived in the Appalachians in SW Virginia I spent a lot of time in NC, and someday I hope I am lucky enough to meet Linda and her husband.

Please folks- lets emulate Linda and her husband- lets do some door to door canvassing for Ron Paul!
