WRI Wildlife Hospital: Seasonal Update - March 2022

 Spring is in the air!
The Wildlife Hospital has moved to the new site in Mornington, East Meath. Extensive efforts have been underway moving lock stock and barrel, with most of our equipment going into storage. A huge thanks to all the crew at Markaline for their incredible help with moving and storage and it's all hands on deck now to get the new Hospital up and running. We are so incredibly lucky to be in such a beautiful location at the Boyne Estuary and hope to be admitting wild patients again soon!
Appeal for help
If you know of tradespeople that may be willing to help at our new site please ask them to email enquiries@wri.ie If you have a large car, a trailer or a van and are available to assist us with the transport of equipment from storage to the new site we'd also love to hear from you.  |

Leverets
 A baby hare is called a leveret. Leverets are left by their mother for long periods of time while she goes off for food. Unfortunately, we see quite a few leverets coming into care because well-meaning members of the public assume they are abandoned and pick them up. It is best to leave a young animal where it is unless there are obvious, viable injuries. In in doubt, our other website www.irishwildlifematters.ie has lots of useful information and contact numbers.  |

WRI educational events are back for 2022!
We are delighted to say we're putting on two exciting new events this year. Details are yet to be finalised so will be announced next month but in the meantime; dates for your diary - 19th, 20th and 21st of August...
