JENNIFER SKUTELSKY
Grave of Hummingbirds
Wednesday, January 20 at 7 PM
Don't miss this special event with BookShop West Portal's own Jennifer Skutelsky, who will read from her riveting new novel. Grave of Hummingbirds, which was her MFA thesis at San Francisco State University, won the Clark-Gross Award in the Novel category.
In Colibri, a remote Andean village, a boy discovers what appears to be the body of an angel - which eerily resembles the beloved late wife of Dr. Gregory Moreno. And in American anthropologist Sophie Lawson, more echoes of the doctor's lost love stir, igniting the superstitions of the townspeople, and an elusive killer's deepest desires and despair.
