Job 19:25 I know that my Redeemer lives ...
HE LIVES ALL BLESSINGS TO IMPART
"Little things mean a lot." I think you'd agree that all those many small acts of kindness that others do for us do mean a lot.
As we page through our Bibles we can't help but see, above all else, that God is concerned for our spiritual and eternal welfare. Forgiveness of sins and eternal salvation through the crucified and risen Savior is the big theme of Scripture. Yet it's also true that our risen Lord has a real concern for every aspect of our lives, including the "little things." He tells us that even the hairs of our head are all numbered. He's taken care of the most critical issues -- sin, death, and hell -- but at the same time does not neglect the lesser concerns. His Word says: "Casting all your care upon Him, for He cares for you" (1 Peter 5:7).
Sometime after His resurrection, the Lord's disciples spent a fruitless night fishing. They must have been pretty hungry early the next morning. But when they got to shore they found that a delicious breakfast of roasted fish was waiting for them. Wasn't Jesus showing them that He was ready and able to meet all of their needs, even the lesser needs of their bodies?
He lives all blessings to impart! He's concerned about the problem you're having at work with your boss. He cares about whether you can afford to fix the brakes on your car. He's there to help you find clothes for your family when you drive off on Saturday morning to the neighborhood garage sales. Maybe we need to be reminded once in awhile of the simple truth that He is with us always, with us in every endeavor we undertake, with us to bless us in every way.
What a privilege to carry everything to God in prayer. What a privilege to tell friends and neighbors:
He lives to silence all my fears,
He lives to wipe away my tears,
He lives to calm my troubled heart,
He lives all blessings to impart.
