John 10:7 Then Jesus said to them again, "Most assuredly, I say to you, I am the door of the sheep."
THE DOOR OF ENTRY
In C.S. Lewis' famous children's stories "The Chronicles of Narnia," youngsters go through a closet door and enter a land of magic and enchantment. Wouldn't it be nice sometimes if we could just go through a door to escape the hardships and difficulties that come after us every day? Wouldn't it be nice if there were a door that would take us to a place where we would be free from things like terrors of conscience and worry about tomorrow?
Actually, there is such a door. There is a door to God's kingdom of safety and security, peace and joy. This Door, however, is not made of wood, stone, or metal. Looking up at this Door, we find that it is a Man hanging on a cross. He wears a twisted crown of thorns and a sign above the Door reads, "Jesus of Nazareth, King of the Jews."
It is through Jesus Christ that we gain entry to the Father's kingdom. Through His shed blood we are given passage to safety. When He died He carried upon Himself the iniquity of the whole world, giving us freedom from condemnation and the assurance of a heavenly future. Because of Jesus we stand in the holy presence of God even now because the soil of our sin was "left at the Door."
You have entered the kingdom. Christ has brought you in by His power, grace, and mercy. Your sins are forgiven and you can live with confidence in Him.
