SURREY SCOUT WATER ACTIVITIES CLUB
Hi ,
If the following is not of interest to you, but you know someone who may be interested, please forward this email.
It's fair to say that our young people, and the adults who make Scouting happen, are very keen to get out on the water, now the Covid rules have relaxed.
Last weekend we had ten participants gain their British Canoeing Discover award, and we had three who gained their Explore award. Not only will they now be able to enjoy the control they have of their craft, but they will now qualify to attend more advanced events.
Next week Chris Schultze & I are running a Foundation Safety & Rescue Training course. This is fully booked, with twelve attending, the most we have ever had for the FSRT. If you missed this one (and I know of some who did), keep the 17th April 2022 free in your diaries.
- I have attached invites to two courses and a day trip running during October.
- I am afraid the relaxation of the Covid rules came too late to organise the proposed Tryweryn weekend.
- The October 16th-17th weekend trip is being discussed, and may become a day trip somewhere in the south-east.
- The two visits to Dartmoor, and the Boxing Day trip will be going ahead, and invites to those events will be out shortly.
