INDEPENDENT BOOKSTORE DAY!
Featuring Exclusive Items, Author Events & More
Saturday, April 30th - All Day!
Join us for a special day of author readings and festivities, including discounts, prizes, and a limited number of special items by artists, authors, and publishers created specifically for Independent Bookstore Day.
The day's events include: Storytime with the Booksellers at 11 a.m.; a reading and book discussion with Christopher Moore, author of Secondhand Souls (early paperback edition available!) in the Courtyard at 2 p.m.; and an inspiring discussion with Caroline Paul, one of San Francisco's first female firefighters and author of The Gutsy Girl, at 7 p.m. in the store.
The following special, limited edition items will be available in independent bookstores on Saturday only:
- The Neil Gaiman Coloring Book
- Kate DiCamillo - Raymie Nightingale
- Literary Tea Towels
- Ann Patchett - A $6 Story
- X is for... Vinyl Record
And more!
There will also be opportunities to pick-a-discount or pick-a-prize throughout the day! Discounts range from 5 – 30% off. Prizes include books and posters not available for purchase - like that poster you've been admiring on display in our store, or a book you've been looking forward to that has not yet been published.
You could also win chapbooks, like The Stormlight Archive: A pocket companion to The Way of Kings and Words of Radiance by Brandon Sanderson.
There is so much to love and celebrate about Independent Bookstores. See you next Saturday!
