Hi Friends,

The precious Word of God is filled with many wonderful promises. Dr Herbert Lockyer, who wrote the book All The Promises Of The Bible, claims the bible lists at least 8000. Dr Lockyer was born in 1886 and during his 98 years on this earth he served as a minister and was the best-selling author of more than 50 books. In fact, Evangelist Billy Graham once stated, “Dr Lockyer was unquestionably one of the spiritual giants of our century, and his prolific writings will continue to make an impact on countless Christians for generations to come if our Lord tarries.”

Today, 36 years after Dr. Lockyer’s passing, his writings continue to make an impact. In facing the realities of COVID-19, it’s easy to become discouraged, anxious and even somewhat alone; however, it is most important to cling to the 8000 promises that fill God’s Word. While the world is “preaching” nothing but doom and gloom, as people of faith we can rest in the sovereignty of a Father who promised many times to never leave us nor forsake us. He also promised…

“Peace I leave with you, My peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.” - John 14:27

“Whenever I am afraid, I will trust in You.” - Psalm 56:3

“Be strong and of good courage, do not fear nor be afraid of them; for the Lord your God, He is the One who goes with you. He will not leave you nor forsake you.” - Deuteronomy 31:6

“Not that I speak in regard to need, for I have learned in whatever state I am, to be content.” - Philippians 4:12

“God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble, therefore we will not fear, even though the earth be removed…be still and know that I am God; I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth! The Lord of host is with us; the God of Jacob is our refuge.” Psalm 46

“Wait on the Lord; be of good courage, and He shall strengthen your heart; wait, I say, on the Lord!” Psalm 27:14

“Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.” Philippians 4:6-7

“We are hard-pressed on every side, yet not crushed; we are perplexed, but not in despair; persecuted, but not forsaken; struck down, but not destroyed - always carrying about in the body the dying of the Lord Jesus, that the life of Jesus also may be manifested in our body.” 2 Corinthians 4:8-9

“Therefore humble yourselves under the mighty hand of God, that He may exalt you in due time, casting all your care upon Him, for He cares for you.” 1 Peter 5:6-7

“Come to Me all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For My yoke is easy and My burden is light.” - Matthew 11:28-30

“I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.” - Philippians 4:13

“Being confident of this very thing, that He who has begun a good work in you will complete it until the day of Jesus Christ.” Philippians 1:6

“For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind.” 2 Timothy 1:7

“Listen, all you of Judah and you inhabitants of Jerusalem, and you, King Jehoshaphat! Thus says the Lord to you: Do not be afraid nor dismayed because of this great multitude, for the battle is not yours, but God’s.” 2 Chronicles 20:15

“After these things the word of the Lord came to Abram in a vision, saying, Do not be afraid, Abram. I am your shield, your exceedingly great reward.” Genesis 15:1

“And David said to his son Solomon, Be strong and of good courage, and do it; do not fear nor be dismayed, for the Lord God - my God - will be with you. He will not leave you nor forsake you, until you have finished all the work for the service of the house of the Lord.” 1 Chronicles 27:30

“According to the word that I covenanted with you when you came out of Egypt, so My Spirit remains among you; do not fear!” Haggai 2:5

In these times of uncertainty and as a result of the recent CDC recommendations regarding COVID-19, The Martins, The Harper Agency and our management team are working with promoters and churches in areas across the country where we have events scheduled. Our prayer is that we will be able to do as many of these as possible; however, we know there will be some that will be forced to be postponed. Please know that we will work diligently to reschedule every date that will be postponed. Please keep an eye on our schedule on our website, martinsonline.com, to stay up-to-date on our events.

We also encourage you to buy the music and merchandise of The Martins, as well as our friends and fellow recording artists. Share it with others. We all need the encouragement in the message of the words of the songs that bring comfort in these difficult times.

Please know that we love each and every one of you. We are praying for you, and we ask that you pray for us. Everyone, in some way, has been impacted and effected by COVID-19. We know these are stressful times but we invite you to cling to the promises of God and know that He is a good God. This COVID-19 is no surprise to Him. He is in control and no matter what the coming days may hold, we will persevere! We will overcome! We will triumph!

We Love you!

THE MARTINS

“Just keep on walking. Don’t turn to the left or right and in the midst of darkness, let this be your light. That hell can’t separate us and we’re gonna make it through. This is the promise! This is the promise I’ve made to you!”
