***Independent Laboratory Advisory Committee
I had the privilege of being chosen to sit on the Nevada Independent Laboratory Advisory Committee (ILAC), which is a significant responsibility to ensure that patients have access to safe medicine through dispensaries. The ILAC must finish its work before labs can be open.  I have included a link below of a Las Vegas Review Journal article that talks about this.   Below you will also find the NAC code, a link to the last agenda, and scrolling to the bottom of that agenda you must write a letter to receive emails about updates on the ILAC committee.

The next meeting will be Wednesday March 4th at 3:30PM at 3811 West Charleston Ste 112 Las Vegas, NV.

***North Las Vegas Mayor Endorsement of MJ Business
The mayor of North Las Vegas recognition of the cannabis industry in his state of the city address was significant in his change in tone from one year ago, showing support for our growing industry.  He also made an appearance at the Las Vegas Medical Marijuana Association luncheon that signals his awareness that MMEs are going to be adding tremendous value to North Las Vegas in the next upcoming years.

***NV Cannabis History Lesson
Did you know that Las Vegas had brick and mortar dispensaries at one time?  After the “Ogden Memo” in 2009, entrepreneurs set up dispensaries throughout Vegas sometimes along the lines of a model of a California collective.  That brief amount of enthusiasm in the cannabis community was met a year later with those facilities being shut down and ruining many of those individuals lives due to federal drug prohibition and no definition to how patients could access medicine in the state of Nevada.  If anyone was around at that time and remembers Jolly Green Meds, they were the top notch in providing medicine to patients.
