You can bring your donation (cash or checks made out to GIGCA) to the next meeting or mail it to:

Thoughts from Our President,
Sherri Clay
My husband and I said "I do" over thirty years ago.  We came from similar backgrounds, went to the same junior and high school, and most importantly, shared the same beliefs.  We were "equally yoked," that is, until I went gluten free.  Then food changed things, where we went and what we did for fun.  Change isn't ever easy, but thankfully we established a new groove.  Now, he doesn't roll his eyes when I ask questions in new restaurants and I accept that while he knows the facts, he hasn't chosen to eat gluten free. (Yes, I still grimace when I buy him bread with wheat in it.)  But best of all, we still enjoy being together, even if we can't go to Shipley's Doughnuts anymore!  Happy Valentine's Day!

YOUR Opinions
From Anne on Facebook:  The Girl Scouts will be selling GF chocolate chip cookies this year in a few cities. Sorry, Little Rock is not included. http://www.abcsmartcookies.com/gf-cookie-councils
From Leigh Anne on Facebook:  So we just finished a family dinner at a non-GF place. I had called ahead and asked if we could bring a different dinner for our child who is GF. We got permission; and pick up his favorite pizza from US Pizza. There was a mix up there (hot sauce, asked for oil) and they had to remake it. Worker brought new pizza out - he wrote the order up correctly and told the line guy GF before we went to wait in our car.
New pizza came, looked good. On to meet family, late. He eats the pizza; says it doesn't taste like GF crust. ?!?! Time to leave, double back to the restroom before long drive home. We wait while he throws up his pizza.
We are loyal to US Pizza Conway. Bryant, not so much. I called and got refund and good apology.
From Virginia on Facebook:  Want to let you know that I had my food contaminated at Cantina Laredo last night.  I ordered Tacos de Barbacoa (GF) and I shared a Flan (GF) with my husband. Not a good ending date.  :(    From Anne on Facebook:  Sorry to hear this happened. I know they have two salsas, one GF and one not. I got the wrong one once.
From Anne on Facebook: There is a free webinar on Wednesday March 26. The acronym FODMAP stands for Fermentable Oligosaccharides, Disaccharides, Monosaccharides And Polyols. These short-chain carbohydrates are incompletely absorbed in the gastrointestinal tract and can be easily fermented by gut bacteria. It is thought that many who have GI problems from wheat without CD, it may really be the FODMAPS and not gluten. http://www.celiaccentral.org/community/upcoming-nfca-events/free-webinar-fodmaps-gluten-sensitivity-ibs-10898/
