"This place is a romantic get away. From the first moment we stepped into the house till the time we left we felt very welcomed and dotted on. After you settle in you come down to a wonderful assortment of snacks and 2 glasses of wine. we talked a bit with the owner and learned some history. The room was amazing. We did not stay in my first choice room because it was taken but our second choice room was still amazing. They take such care in what they do to make you feel so welcomed. Cookies in the room with wine glasses. You get a choice of times for your breakfast 8am or 9am. we are early risers so we chose 8am. at 7am we went down and got some coffee to take back to our room. Breakfast was so delicious and so beautifully laid out. I can not say enough about this place. we will definitely be back. and I have told friends and family that it is a must visit if looking for a night or two away."
There's no doubt that the last several years having been challenging for everyone, both from a personal and business perspective. We want to especially thank you! for continuing to make Holden House a success, despite the difficulties presented in travel decisions. Thanks to you, In late 2020 and throughout 2021, we saw an increase in our return guests. The best comments we received from those of you who stayed with us, was that you knew what to expect in the care that we have always taken to ensure clean accommodations. And, our new to Holden House guests, have mentioned that our housekeeping awards, standards and up-to-date health related transparency on our website, made their decision easier when deciding where to stay in the Pikes Peak area.
We used a bit of down time to paint all three Victorian buildings with a fresh coat of exterior colors. While weather was a challenge in early spring, we also managed to replace our walkways and sidewalks in front of the Rose Victorian. As anyone knows if you own a house, a homeowner's job is never done and sometimes the behind the scenes repairs are the most important. And, while it seemed like only yesterday to us when we installed our main house furnace and AC, a new HVAC system needed replacement in the main house as guest comfort is one of our top priorities.

In June of 2021, we commemorated our 35th anniversary year in business. We have managed to keep our amazing assistant innkeeper staff, with Heather celebrating over 16 years at Holden House! Our whole innkeeping team including Heather, Miriam, Mandy, Tiffany, Sierra, Malia and Connie help us to maintain our long-standing great guest service. We appreciate their dedication to supporting the inn's top-notch hospitality. As we move into our upcoming 36th year, we look forward to seeing you again as a guest.

Our side-by-side Victorian homes, are situated in a residential area just one mile west of downtown Colorado Springs, one mile east of historic Old Colorado City and are only four miles from quaint Manitou Springs. Within our adjacent complex of three Victorian painted lady homes, we feature the turreted Main House, the Rose Victorian and the Carriage House, each with two separate and well-appointed suites.
While staying with us, you can be assured that Holden House is dedicated to maintaining the overall quality, hospitality and cleanliness in our traditional boutique-style inn, combined with a delicious gourmet breakfast served each morning. Our free off-street parking areas also makes for easy in-easy out access.

Each morning, our guests are treated to a complimentary full breakfast that's included in your room rate and served in the main house dining room. An optional breakfast served ensuite is also available for an additional fee. Onsite you'll find an individual K-Cup Coffee maker with a limited selection, so feel free to bring your own K-Cups if you have your own favorites. We also have a hot water kettle and a hot tea selection to choose from during your stay.
