Wednesday 20 April is the final Round of the Print Competition which is being judged by Dave Coates ARPS MPAGB EFIAP/p APAGB. As you can tell from the mass of letters after his name, Dave is a prolofic photographer and competition enterer, so we are in for a good evening. He is from way up North in deepest Yorkshire (but language shouldn't be too much of a problem) and is the FIAP Liaison Officer for the PAGB.

Annual Projected Image Competition
|
Next Wednesday is also the closing date for the Annual Projected Image Competition, entries to the usual address - competitions@bristolphoto.org.uk. If you need further information about the competition, please refer to your BPS Handbook, pages 23 - 26, but if you have any queries, I'm sure that Ken will be only too happy to help, please email to the address above. |
This is a very much shortened edition this week as I am off to Chichester tomorrow (Thursday) with the Salon show and will not be returning until later on this weekend.
|
For those of you who missed the Bristol Salon presentation at the clubrooms, there will be another chance to see it on Sunday 24 April
at 2.30pm. This is the public showing of the Salon and as you will be aware, seating is limited, so we are asking anyone who wishes to attend to reserve their (free) seat by following this link and filling in their names (and those of any friends, wives or partners they want to bring along). There will be a free raffle during the afternoon with prizes kindly donated by Calumet.

Contrary to popular belief, I do not possess psychic powers and need you to tell me if you've had successes. If you want to blow your own trumpet (or someone else's), then this is the place to do it. Please let me know and I'll include details in a future issue.
|
Please don't forget that if you change your address or gain additional photographic distinctions it would be appreciated if you could let the Membership Secretary know so that she can keep her records up to date - please email all changes to membership@bristolphoto.org.uk |
For those of you who aren't sure what MPAGB, EFIAP/s and many more such seemingly random collections of letters mean, just click here to download the list. |
If you have something photographic that you want to sell, let me have the details and I will circulate them to a captive audience of photographers through the Newsletter - send to the usual address.
|
If you have anything you think other members would like to know about, such as exhibitions, special events etc. please let me know at newsletter@bristolphoto.org.uk
