THE ORB PLAY AT FULHAM TOWN HALL

To mark the finale of “Art in the Age of Now” -- one of London’s most talked about post lockdown creative happenings -- and to celebrate his recently released debut album “Abolition of the Royal Familia - Guillotine Mixes” shooting into the top of the charts, Alex Paterson of The Orb will be headlining an all star celebration of DJs and live music at the iconic Fulham Town Hall, Sunday 20 June 2021 from 6:00 pm.

Now entering his 5th decade as one of the UK’s most influential musical producers and DJs, Alex Paterson co-founded The Orb in 1988, pioneers and originators of ambient house, trip hop, trance and dub genres -- all focussed on shared artistry, risk, experience, community, space and time -- exactly like “Art in the Age of Now”.

Exhibition Curator Ben Moore says 'When I was growing up in London in the nineties, the rave scene in London was at its peak. The Orb was one of the first mainstream dance music acts I ever heard played on the radio and at every club and party I ever went to. A quarter century later to be hosting these musical legends on the main stage of the Town Hall feels like a musical renaissance. This will be the first major live act to perform on that stage since The Clash in 1976”.

Special guests playing on the night include CHOCOLATE HILLS (Alex Paterson & Paul Conboy), DUB REBELS ON PATROL (Alex Paterson & Prince Sherman),  DJ DADAIST, KING MICHAEL, TONY THORPE (Moody Boyz).
