they used to be Ashtech so they have "re-become" Ashtech.

Background:
If this
seems a bit confusing, perhaps a condensed corporate timeline will help:
1986 Magellan Systems Corporation founded in California
1987 Ashtech was founded in California by Dr. Javad Ashjaee of Trimble fame
1994 Orbital Sciences Corporation acquires Magellan Systems
1997 Ashtech and Magellan Systems merge to become Magellan Navigation
2001 Thales Group (a huge 68,000 employee French electronics Aerospace, defense
and consumer products company) purchases Magellan Navigation
2006 Shaw Capital Partners of Santa Clara
California, purchases the consumer and professional divisions of Magellan
representing the MLR (MLR Electronique), DSNP (Dassult Electronique +
Dassault Sercel N.P.), Magellan and Ashtech from Thales.
2008 December: MiTAC (a large
Taiwanese electronics manufacturer) purchases the consumer operations of
Magellan, leaving the professional division named 'Magellan Professional'
2010 January: Magellan Professional rebrands as Ashtech
Through all
of these changes, many of the original innovators, support and technical people
from the 1987 Ashtech are still at the 2010 Ashtech!
