Prom seemed to go smoothly. It was the most attended Prom in recent history. It was hot and the kids complained about the music (both are pretty standard occurrences during Prom). The most important thing is that everybody, as far as I know, returned home safely.

If you know a student who does not have dress clothes to wear for Commencement, please let me know ASAP. We have a strict dress and shoe code to not only make the ceremony nice but more importantly, to make sure the kids have one set of nice clothes when they leave us. That ensures that they will have acceptable interview clothes to start their adult lives.

A busy week ahead of us:

Our orchestra plays for the final time this year at the Dogwood tonight at 6:30.
Tomorrow evening is Senior's Honor Night at the Dogwood.
Thursday is Baccalaureate
Friday is Commencement Practice at 11:30 - Students must be present in order to walk during the Commencement Ceremony.
Sunday is Commencement.

In case of rain, each graduate will be given 8 tickets for entry into the High School Gymnasium. That number of tickets, coupled with the number of people needed to conduct the ceremony and number of graduates, puts us at our maximum capacity. Graduates are able to enter without a ticket. Students are allowed to give their extra tickets away. Anybody selling their tickets will have their entire allotment of 8 tickets voided. Students will be given their tickets on Friday during Commencement Practice if rain is threatening.
