I am trying to organize a fun Independence Day celebration for you,
your families, your friends and neighbors, but I can’t do it without your help! To quote a few famous sayings: "Many hands make light work", “The more the merrier", and “It’s always a party with Star”.
VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES
I need someone to be in charge of the parade.
This is a great job because most of your work is before the 4th collecting registration forms, and your duties are done as soon as the parade is over. Then you have the rest of the day.
I need someone to head up the ice shack beverage sales. This is a great way to visit with lots of people on the 4th, and all the proceeds benefit Huntsville Town. You don’t have to be there all day, just setup a schedule that volunteers can rotate through.
I need a Parking and Traffic Guru. Someone to help organize traffic flow and parking areas, and communicate with volunteers. Rex Harris did an amazing job at this last year, and he is willing to pass on all
his knowledge, so most of the planning is done. We just need someone to execute it this year.
And finally, I need a whole bunch of volunteers to assist with the above assignments and more.
It would be a great opportunity for community service hours, for youth groups, young women projects, scout projects, or just a way to get to know the members of the community better.
Please help me make this the best 4th of July yet.
