Greetings!

As you probably know by now, Patty and I are leaving for Afghanistan on Monday.  Hey... that's today!

You're receiving this email either because you asked to be kept up-to-date -OR- I thought you would want to be.  I don't expect to be able to send a message every day, but I'll try to send something every 2-3 days or so.  Don't expect many photos till we get back.

If you'd rather not receive any more emails fro us till then, just click on the "leave email list" link at the bottom of this page and the pain will stop immediately.

Since we take off in a few hours you probably won't hear from us for a couple days.  And don't worry if you don't hear anything till we get back... Internet access is pretty sketchy in that neck of the woods.  We'll definitely get in touch as soon as we get back in the States on the 30th.

So that's it for now... please keep us and the people of Barek Aub, Istalif, and throughout Afghanistan in your thoughts and prayers and close to your hearts.  We'll see you again very soon.
