PICKERING CREEK INN UNDER CONSTRUCTION - Our gig this Saturday, Oct. 10th, at The Pickering Creek Inn in Phoenixville, PA has been re-scheduled while they make emergency structural repairs. I guess we rocked the place a little too hard the last time we were there.....We will be back on December 4th.
30TH ANNUAL MANATEE MASQUERADE! - Bringing it all full circle, we will be performing at Hill House at Camp Sumney in Sumneytown, PA, on Halloween, Saturday, October 31st. Hill House is the huge 2-story log cabin where I first met Manatees co-founder Ray Adkins back in the summer of 1985. The evening starts with a Haunted Walk through Camp Sumney and up to Hill House. There will also be a screening of "The Rocky Horror Picture Show". Special guest: Bob The DJ. Costumes are encouraged. The band starts at 7:00 PM. It'll be a graveyard smash!
And speaking of Ray Adkins, his new CD "Here I Am" was just released and features the song "Don't Give In" co-written by Ray & I. Free copies are available at all Mighty Manatees shows.
MANATEE FUN FACT: Did you know that the PBS animated children's show "The Cat in the Hat Knows a Lot About That!" recently aired an episode all about manatees? It's true! They even wrote a new song about manatees.
