Diversity Arts Network meeting

Funding for Cultural Heritage Projects
Advice and sharing session

Wed July 11th, Marlowe Studio, Canterbury, 1-5.30pm·

Are you interested in developing a project that explores cultural heritage, but unsure where to begin? Are you after advice on developing project ideas and applying for funding?
Heritage Lottery Fund (HLF) is working with the Diversity Arts Network and ShivaNova / Equator Festival to run a sharing event on HLF-funded cultural heritage projects from across the South East of England. HLF are encouraging suitable projects to apply for funding upto £10,000 so if you have an idea or would like to talk to HLF about ways of developing a project then this session is crucial.
The afternoon will include talks from ShivaNova, Brighton Royal Pavilion and Museum, The Panjabi Centre and Diversity House as well as an opportunity for discussion, and a presentation on how to apply for HLF funding.
Spaces are limited so please book on:

This meeting is part of setting up a Cultural Heritage Forum for individuals and groups that are specifically working on heritage projects in the South-East funded by the Heritage Lottery Fund, and would like to share their knowledge and experience as well as make links with other heritage projects. Please email us if you are interested in wanting to these sessions.

Further chances to have 1-1 sessions on marketing, funding, and project development from specialist advisors will also be set up depending on demand.
Please do email us back on events@equatorfestival.com if you are interested in a 1-1 session.

We are also inviting artists to talk about their work.

If you want to speak about your work, or looking for suitable partners please do send us further details.
Arts and Cultural organisations can lead the way in diversity as an integral part of what they do, the work they programme and the staff they employ so that arts and culture can belong to everyone.
