Worcestershire Masonic Motoring Club
The weekend of October 7-9th saw the Province of Worcester Masonic Motoring Club select our Province for their annual away weekend. Seventeen members travelled down on Friday, before the brethren attended a token initiation ceremony at Narberth Lodge no 2001, joined by our Deputy Provincial Grand Master, VW Bro Lionel Clarke Hughes, and a good number of local visitors, whilst their wives dined at the Plas Hyfryd Hotel – this being their base for the weekend. W Bro Ian Brodie, WM Saint Padarn Lodge
W Bro Ian Brodie & RW Bro Stephen Hookey with the Travelling Gavel
The West Wales Travelling Gavel has been a great success, with Brethren visiting far and wide across the Province in their attempts to "Grab the Gavel" for their Lodges. The mastermind behind the gavel project in 2014 was Bro Ian Brodie and he has continued to champion the scheme ever since. However, despite his best efforts, Bro Ian failed to win the gavel for St Padarn Lodge in time for his Installation meeting in October. Fortunately the Provincial Grand Master and his team were aware of Bro Ian's attempts and were able to "borrow" the gavel from Tenby Lodge for W Bro Ian's big day! RW Bro Stephen Hookey presented the gavel to W Bro Ian during the ceremony and gave strict instructions that it needed to be returned to it's rightful owners at the end of the evening! Many thanks to all who helped to organise the big surprise, especially Bro Gwyn Joseph in Australia who provided the gavel in the first place!

Yearbook Editor Appointment
The Provincial Grand Master has been pleased to appoint W Bro Bob McKnight of St Peter's Lodge to the role of West Wales Year Book Editor. W Bro Bob will take over the role with immediate effect and all errors or omissions which brethren may notice in the new Year Book, should be directed to W Bro Bob at ybeditor@wwmason.com in order that mistakes may be rectified in future issues.
