Today was a rare day. Martin Lowenberg presented his life story as a Holocaust survivor. He did a remarkable job connecting with students. I hope I have that kind of life left in me when I'm in my 90s. Please take a minute tonight and ask your student what they thought of the presentation and what they learned. The one point I always stressed during my time as a teacher is that the Nazis came to power in a democratic government and then seized total control when it was too late to do anything about them. Even if the students only take away the fact that they were able to interact with a Holocaust survivor and therefore refute Holocaust deniers, the day was worth it.
