Psalm 23:6 Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me All the days of my life; And I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever.

GOODNESS AND MERCY ALL MY DAYS

Since the LORD is my shepherd, how cannot but goodness and mercy follow me all the days of my life; and no enemy--no Satanic accuser, no conscience, no law, no moralist--will ever be able to snatch me from the tender care of this Shepherd.

Shall I tell you what I think? "I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever." He is even now leading me to that heavenly house. He has told me: "In my Father's house are many mansions; if it were not so, I would have told you; I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also. And whither I go ye know, and the way ye know" (John 14:2 f).

Yes, I will dwell with my Shepherd in the eternal fold. That is my faith. That I believe and confess in this psalm, which is now mine. May the Good Shepherd strengthen and keep you in that faith, and "when the chief Shepherd shall appear, ye shall receive a crown of glory that fadeth not away" (1 Peter 5:4). Amen.
