Zucchini Notes
Zucchini, like all squash, has its ancestry in the Americas. However, the varieties of squash typically called "zucchini" were developed in Italy, many generations after their introduction from the "New World".
In all probability, this occurred in the very late 19th century, probably near Milan … "Zucca" is the Italian word for squash and "zucchina" is its diminutive.

The Herbed Chicken Omelet was one of Millie's' specials last weekend, a new creation by Chef Tom.
At the beginning, customers were hesitant to try this new omelet, because they had questions about what muenster cheese was.
Well, I was excited when I first heard about it, and I tried one at break time. I can tell you that muenster cheese is mild in flavor -- and this omelet is easy to eat.
The Herbed Chicken Omelet caught on - it was tried and enjoyed by a number of adventurous guests.
What will Chef Tom think up next?
