The Tehran Stock Exchange All-Share
Index finished the trading week with a rise of 0.40% today, closing at
78,651. The top performing sector of the day was Sugar (+2.27%), with almost
all constituents posting sharp gains. Paper Products (-4.62%) was the weakest
among sectors. Chemical (+0.87) was the most actively traded sector with IRR
302 billion (approx. USD 8 million) of shares exchanged. Persian Gulf
Petrochemical Industries Co. (PKLJ +1.46%), Telecommunication Company of
Iran (MKBT -1.92%) and Esfahan Mobarakeh Steel Co. (FOLD +1.80%) were the
main movers of the index. The highest trade volume was posted by Asan
Pardakht Persian Co. (APPE +4.04%), with IRR 172 billion (approx. USD 4.6
million). The market’s total traded value fell 21% from yesterday to IRR
2,863 billion (approx. USD 77 million).
TSE30 Index
The TSE30 index of the thirty
largest companies by market capitalization closed up 0.49% at 3,091. Among
the top 30s, the highest growth was posted by Pardis Petrochemical Co. (PRDZ
+2.95%) while Telecommunication Company of Iran (MKBT -1.92%) saw the
steepest decline. The total traded value of the top 30s reached IRR 582
billion (approx. USD 15.5 million), up 37% from the previous trading session.
