SR-39 improvements planned from Huntsville to Causey, July 8-29.
Huntsville Town road improvements on 100 S. to Cemetery. Chipseal overlay is scheduled for July 18.
The Utah Department of Transportation (UDOT) advises motorists of a roadway improvement project begining July 8, on State Raod 39, the Monte Cristo Highway, between the 100 S. junction in Huntsville and the Causey Reservoir turn-off.
For all phases of work, motorists should expect multiple flagging operations and up to 10-minute travel delays where work is occurring on weekdays from 7 am to 7 pm on Friday's lane restrictions will end by noon to facilitate area recreational travel.
The project includes installation of several drainage culverts, asphalt pavment overlays in several areas, shoulder grading and applicationof a chip seal.
The work will be constructed according to the following:
Week of July 8--culvert installation
Week of July 14--asphalt paving, shoulder grading and gravel chip placement
Week of July 21--sealing of chip seal surface
Week of July 28--lane striping
A concurrent chip seal project will be completed by the same contractor on 100 South in Huntsville between the SR-39 junction and Huntsville Cemetery.
