Edition 345, March 29 2012
Dear Supporter,

Welcome to Edition 345 of the Spoke N Word - proudly brought to you by the 2012 NAB Blayney to Bathurst CycloSportif Challenge, April 22nd. Don't miss out, be a part of this years action! > Visit the B2B Website

For those who are keeping up to date with the Centennial Parklands Grand Drive Safety Improvement Project, submissions have been extended by two weeks. Plenty of cyclists turned out this morning for a ride in protest of the changes. Further footage of the protest ride and an interview with Parklands CEO Kim Ellis can be seen courtesy of Cycling Central. If you're likely to be affected by potential changes involved it is well worth your time submitting your thoughts during this period. Information regarding Cycle Centennial, an advocacy group who have re-formed in response to the situation can be seen below.

As the UCI Track World Championships draw ever so close, one rider who will be looking to pull on the rainbow jersey again is NSW rider Ash Ankudinoff. Having overcome her injury problems, she speaks with Cycling Central about her comeback to elite competition. We wish Ash and fellow NSW rider Kaarle McCulloch all the best of luck in Melbourne next week.

Grades for both the Orica Kermese and Macarthur CC Open Criteriums events are available on the Cycling NSW website. With the road season now upon us, it's encouraging to see such good fields at these events. It's going to be yet another action packed season with major events such as the B2B & All Spokes Festival not far down the road. Both events will be similar in structure with a criterium and hill climb along with the popular CycloSportif rides. Get your entries in soon!

Hand Cycling will make an appearance at Merrylands Oval this Saturday with the NSW Hand Cyclist Track Championships. If you're in the area it could be well worth at the action starting from 6:00pm.
