Eventually the sun came out and we pumped the water out, but the water table had risen from around 2.5 meters below ground level to around 1.1 meters. We then saw a trickle of water… That underground river was flowing!!
From a building point of view this was NOT good news, because we don’t want to have any water leaking into the basement after a heavy season of rain. So now the builder and the architect had to come up with new plans to securely waterproof the basement walls. What a blessing this happened now!
As we were thinking this over in our hearts we realised that God’s ways are PERFECT. He KNOWS what He’s doing and He DOESN’T make a mistake.
We remembered when He told us to buy this piece of land and what a mighty miracle it was when we bought it. We also remembered when He told us the Prayer House needed a basement and then a few days later Pastor Surprise from Mozambique came and “saw” the Prayer House (it was just grass then). He said, “I see the Prayer House and it has 3 levels…” (which meant it had to have a basement) “and I see the River of Life flowing…”.
So although the basement walls are at risk and need further protection against water ingress, you can’t help seeing the prophetic symbolism in all of this!
There’s an underground river flowing EAST from Auschwitz-Birkenau “through” the Prayer Room of the Prayer House. So many people have seen the RIVER OF LIFE flowing out of the Prayer House, a flow of redemption coming out from the Place of His Presence that will wash the land bringing healing and LIFE.
To finish, here’s another picture taken from the balcony of our house. You can see the gates of Auschwitz-Birkenau in the background. They will finish the internal concrete walls this week and then we wait a couple of weeks for the concrete to dry. The next step will be to build the roof of the basement, which will be the ground floor.
