Dear
BajaInsider Subscriber:
Thanksgiving is just around the corner for our US readers and lots of you
are on the move south for our lovely
late fall weather. We have had
our first couple of north winds blow through, but the Sea of Cortez still
awaits your recreation time.
An
increasing number of cruisers have arrived in Baja Sur and Tomas Zyber takes
some time away from the computer to
explore
the Sea of Cortez. This first installation of this continuing
series explores northward from La Paz and the local anchorages towards
Loreto. With a sail plan for Santa Rosalia and then south along the mainland
coast through the winter you can get a first hand feel for the cruiser's
life in the Sea.
We
provide some Insider information on the
Pacific Beaches of Baja Sur and some safety tips on how to make the most
of your day. With the Pacific swells from arctic storms about to roll in,
these beaches can be very popular surf sites, if you know where to find
them.
Our
sponsor
CostaBaja Resort and Marina has made significant progress through the
summer and fall months on the VistaMar and Las Colinas communities and the
Gary Player signature golf course beginning to show some signs of greens
along the hillside above the resort.
As
more of you head in our direction to enjoy all the Baja has to offer,
including road reports,
weather,
accommodations,
adventures and
real estate, we hope you will turn to
the BajaInsider for the best online information.
We
have one of the longest articles on the Insider, chucker block full of very
useful Baja travel
information These insights from long time resident Günter Trebbow are
well worth the read. If you are driving south through Baja we would stress
two points in Günter's article, don't drive at night and don't drive without
Mexican
Insurance. Both are cheap and easy ways to assure your Baja adventure is
more fun than headache.
So,
without further ado, here are some of the stories appearing on the
BajaInsider...
