This week’s meeting
on the good ship Queen Mary was very pirate flavoured. We admired a
patch, were astounded by the fastest knit skull and crossbones jumper in
creation, were charmed by our Canadian visiting knitter (thanks for the
fabulous crochet kitchen accessories) who learned a new skill and made
new friends (awwww), and felt slightly unsettled whenever the boat
the right ingredients for a fine S&B London meeting.

YARN SALE for you all. So those of you who don’t normally

merino, and join the knitting scene (o). We are also chock full of
you need help choosing books from the craft section, and since we knit
lot they seem to have gotten the message and have got a few gems

Stitch and Spinning Straight off the Sheep
You are all invited come down to the oasis in the city that is Newham
for woolly activities and farmyard knitting. You can check out the breeds
Portland, Jacobs and Badger Face sheep, see how wool can go from sheep to
sweater, see carding, felting and maybe even try your hand at spinning
some of the woolly
fleece into fabulous yarn to knit with. And while you’re there
the other beasts, maybe buy some fresh farm eggs, and gaze up in wonder
possibly the biggest horse on earth.
