THE PROTOTYPE AT TERRAFUTURA IN FLORENCE, MAY 18-20, 2007
A new prototype of Hybrid Solar Vehicle is being developed within the Leonardo Project "Energy Conversion Systems and Their Environmental Impact", financed by the European Community. The prototype will be presented at "Terrafutura", in Florence (Fortezza dal Basso), May 18-20, 2007.

A PROJECT FOR THE SUSTAINABLE MOBILITY
The Leonardo Project "Energy Conversion Systems and Their Environmental Impact" aims to promote the knowledge of the students in the field of energy conversion and related environmental problems, with particular emphasis to sustainable transportation, by means of the active participation in a didactic project for the design and manufacturing of an innovative prototype of hybrid solar vehicle. The diffusion of this kind of vehicle could significantly contribute in reducing fossil fuel utilization and carbon dioxide emissions.
The project, promoted by Istituto Alfano I, Salerno (Italy) and coordinated by DIMEC & University of Salerno (Italy), includes a partnership of educational and training institutions, universities, SME's and research centres from Italy, France, Hungary, Romania and Turkey.

IL PROTOTIPO ALLA MOSTRA "TERRAFUTURA" DI FIRENZE DAL 18 AL 20 MAGGIO
Il prototipo di veicolo ibrido solare, sviluppato nell'ambito del programma comunitario Leonardo "Energy Conversion Systems and Their Environmental Impact", ad uno stadio avanzato di sviluppo, sarà presentato alla mostra Terrafutura, in programma alla Fortezza dal Basso in Firenze dal 18 al 20 maggio. Venerdì 18 maggio, dalle 11.00 alle 11.40, si terrà la presentazione del progetto ed un laboratorio di progettazione ("Fare il pieno con il sole") nell'ambito dei Laboratori di Buone Prassi (Piano Attico, Padiglione Spadolini) .

UN PROGETTO PER LA MOBILITA' SOSTENIBILE
Il Progetto Leonardo "Energy Conversion Systems and Their Environmental Impact" ha l'obiettivo di promuovere la conoscenza sui temi energetici, economici ed ambientali connessi al trasporto automobilistico ed alle energie rinnovabili attraverso la partecipazione allo sviluppo di un prototipo di veicolo ibrido solare. La diffusione di questi veicoli potrebbe dare concreti ed importanti contributi alla riduzione di consumi di combustibile e di emissioni di gas serra. Il progetto, promosso dall'Istituto Alfano I di Salerno e coordinato dal DIMEC dell'Università di Salerno, coinvolge un partenariato costituito da università, istituti di ricerca e formazione e imprese di Italia, Francia, Ungheria, Romania e Turchia.
