In The News...

Learn how to gain freedom from the clutter in your lives in Lori's recent Dayton Daily News articles:
Make It About Them...

Many times you bring in decorations, trinkets, photos and memorabilia that reflect your interests into your office. Your desk, walls and shelves are often filled with personal items, because you want to make your office your space.

In my office, I keep limited personal belongings.  I want my office to be about my client, not about me. When a client sits in my office, the focus is on them.

Walk into your office with new eyes and see what your client sees. Sit in the chair they sit in and feel what that’s like.

If they’re coming to you for help, limit the distractions and put the spotlight on them.

Ready To Organize...

Many of my clients share with me that they have a hard time getting organized because of lack of focus and/or low energy.

This past year I have been trying over-the-counter allergy medications to help alleviate my allergy symptoms. With certain medications, I noticed I lacked focus, felt lethargic and zapped of energy.

If you are taking prescription or over-the-counter medications research their side effects. Talk with your doctor about alternatives. Adjusting your medication may give you back the focus and energy you need to get organized.

Organizing Classes...

Hope you’re enjoying your summer! Our organizing classes will resume in the fall. Watch our newsletter and website postings for class dates and locations.

Do you have old children's books cluttering up your bookshelves?  Donate them to a great cause!

Jonna Chrisman and her daugther are two area teachers who are collecting gently used children's books for grades Kindergarten through 3rd grade.

Close to 70 percent of Jonna's students receive free or reduced lunch and have no books in their homes. She started a "Book in a Bag" program, where every student in the building gets to select a book to take home and read with their family every weeknight.  They read over 25,000 books last year!

Joanna's daugther will be teaching 2nd Graders with "Teach For America," a group that provides teachers for urban settings in extremely impoverished areas.  She needs books to help set up her new classroom.

If you would like to donate your gently used children's books, please at jmcohio@gmail.com to arrange a drop-off or pick up.

One Last Thing...

“Freedom is the act of releasing ourselves from the bondage of that which keeps us from living the life we were meant to live.”  ~Kellie Wilson

Is clutter keeping you from living the life you have planned for yourself?
