Hello everyone!
So BFI FLARE is over - this is possibly the busiest ten days that Peccadillo has every year! We had eight films in the festival with talent attending for five of them, it was an exhausting week - especially for Ollie and Jason who were looking after Darren Stein (the director) and Michael J Willett (lead actor) from G.B.F. - maybe one day we'll show you some of the pictures…
We would like to congratulate the festival team on an exceptional festival this year. Their dedication really shines through and they continue to deliver a world class festival on an ever decreasing budget. We only hope that the BFI appreciates their work as much as we do. A round up of Peccadillo at the BFI FLARE will come soon.
Almost every member of the Peccadillo team got ill this week - but we have no time to stop! There is far too much going on and we hope that you can come enjoy just a bit of what we know is good for you.
Regardless of whether you love or hate EUROVISION, our new film CUPCAKES will have you in fits of laughter. Made by Eytan Fox, director of YOSSI, this Eurovision parody featuring songs written by Babydaddy of Scissor Sisters, follows the Israeli entry as they take on Russia in the final of the ultimate song contest. This is one audience pleaser that is not to be missed! Find out more next week about CUPCAKES but in the meantime, check out website.
We all adore lesbian period dramas and this year there is a spectacular feast coming your way. REACHING FOR THE MOON just premiered to great acclaim at BFI FLARE and will whisk you away to the very glamorous fifties and the true relationship between two powerful women. Starring Miranda Otto from LORD OF THE RINGS and WAR OF THE WORLDS, this is a film for everyone, so don’t miss it.
Also out on DVD and BD is FLOATING SKYSCRAPERS from our friends over at Matchbox Films, for more info on the film and to buy it click here.
And finally, we are very proud to announce that Peccadillo Pictures is one of very few film companies in the entire world to have its own super room on iTunes. So if you’re an iTunes fan you can download any of our fabulous films at www.itunes.com/peccadillopictures. You know it makes sense.
Have a sensational weekend and see you next week.
Lead actor of G.B.F. Michael J Willett takes a look at this month's GT and look who is on the back!

Peccadillo Pictures iTunes Super Room

It's been a long time in the making but we are proud to announce the arrival of the Peccadillo Pictures iTunes Super Room. This is the only place on iTunes where you can view every single on demand release of ours in one place - viewing them in order of release date or check out what the bestsellers are.
This is an important step forward for us as iTunes does not have a dedicated LGBT section on their genre list but this room will allow audiences an easy access to our LGBT releases alongside our Saffron Hill non-LGBT releases as well.
Including everything for early on demand releases G.B.F. and STRANGER BY THE LAKE, to our record breaking WEEKEND, the romantic epic A PERFECT ENDING and breakout French arthouse hit, OUR CHILDREN - this room will be the one place to see it all.
To access the room, you simply need to visit: www.itunes.com/peccadillopictures, iTunes will open and our room will appear.
From there you can decide which film you want to watch first and choose between standard definition and high definition on a huge selection of our films. Take some time over the weekend, settle down to a film and discover something you will love from our huge catalogue of films.
by Bruno Barreto

Set at the height of 1950s glamour, this audience award winning drama recounts the extraordinary relationship between Pulitzer Prize-winning poet Elizabeth Bishop (played by Miranda Otto, Lord of the Rings) and Brazilian architect Lota de Macedo Soares (the beautifully handsome Gloria Pires).

In search of inspiration, Bishop leaves America having accepted the invitation of an old college friend to stay with her on her sprawling country estate in Brazil. But she never counted on meeting the love of her life - her friend’s partner.

At first, the fiery personalities of the two women collide and lead to passion-fuelled debates, but animosity quickly turns to attraction, then desire. From Oscar® nominated director Bruno Barreto, REACHING FOR THE MOON is an intimate portrait of two remarkable artists as they discover the most incredible love.

It's been a year. Probably safe to say she's not coming back.

As the first anniversary of Baroness Thatcher's demise approaches, BURN – the platform for moving images by cabaret artists – presents a special night of work inspired by the Iron Lady herself or shedding light on her distinctive legacy.
Rotherham's least favourite daughter MYRA DUBOIS leads the charge. Myra is currently working on a project in which she plays Lady Thatcher and will be at BURN in person to talk us through her process and give us a taster of her material.
Plus she'll present brand new videos made with Harry Clayton-Wright of Myra-as-Thatch out and about. It'll be a bit Candid Camera, a bit Inside the Actors Studio, a bit like the time Maggie did that scary version of Two Little Boys on the radio.
On screen, also in that Iron Lady mood:
the GAY BINGO gang – Jonny Woo, Ma Butcher and John Sizzle – relive the 80s in matching twin sets on Brighton beach
ALP HAYDAR's devious alter ego Sharia Law takes a page out of Meryl Streep's book in her lust for glory
and PAUL KINDERSLEY teaches you how to perfect the Grantham Look in five easy steps
Plus other video work of profound relevance to post-Thatcherite Britain:
Kiki and Herb put themselves first
Fancy Chance, Dusty Limits, Laurie Hagen and Tricity Vogue team up entrepreneurially
Bourgeois & Maurice get fiscally aroused
Su Hewlett revels in consumer choice
The LipSinkers explore Russian relations
Matthew Floyd Jones delves into the culture wars
SpyMonkey learn to love corporate interests
And we showcase the latest installment of CAPITOL HILL, following that doyenne of free enterprise Waxie Moon's adventures in Seattle.
