In the spirit of Reverend JackYates, Richard Allen, Richard Brock, and Reverend Elias Dibble
and the many  African-American churches, who in 1872 joined to make possible the purchase and maintenance of Emancipation Park, local area church Pastors will join together  on Hutchins Street at Emancipation Avenue, at the Gateway arch of the newly renovated park, to undertake sacred prayers for the success of the Historic Emancipation Park in continuing its  legacy of service to the community.

This revival of Miller’s beloved blues and creole music festival features iconic American rhythm and blues singer, actress, and civil rights activist Mavis Staples, plus legendary musicians Milton Hopkins & the Hit City Blues Band and J Paul Jr & the Zydeco NuBreedz.
Free tickets are available for the covered seating area.  (4 per person over age 16 while they last) at the Miller Outdoor Theatre box office the day of the performance 10:30 AM-1:00 PM.and one hour before show time to distribute the remaining tickets. As always, open seating on the hill. The shows goes on rain or shine.
