In the spirit of Reverend JackYates, Richard Allen, Richard Brock, and Reverend Elias Dibble and the many African-American churches, who in 1872 joined to make possible the purchase and maintenance of Emancipation Park, local area church Pastors will join together on Hutchins Street at Emancipation Avenue, at the Gateway arch of the newly renovated park, to undertake sacred prayers for the success of the Historic Emancipation Park in continuing its legacy of service to the community.
