Boxing Day Paddle 2017
The antidote to too much turkey and relatives! Avoid the sales as well! This year we plan to start at the New Inn public house in Send and travel up stream to complete a loop of the River Wey.
As it is difficult to book a meal this time of year we will have a river side Christmas picnic. Finishing back at the New Inn there should be time for some Christmas cheer and the opportunity to warm up.
The trip is suitable for anyone with BCU 1*. Clearly at this time of year appropriate clothing must be worn, given the likely weather, but if would be great if some festive gear could be on show. A change of clothing should be taken, as the pub takes a dim view of wet seats.
Scouts who attend must be accompanied by a responsible adult.
Please contact John Farmer at john@sswac.co.uk to inform us if you are coming so that we can have some idea of numbers. Also in the event of plans changing due to weather etc.
We will meet at Send at 10:30. No shuttle this year as we will finish at the same location. We may be able to assist with equipment. Please contact me at the address above.
