We're excited to share this "Idea of the Week", submitted by either the MAiZE staff or one of your fellow siteowners. There never seems to be a shortage of ideas and the truth is that some of the best originate with all of you! So, if you ever have an idea you'd like us to pass along to the group, please just send it our way. Also, please remember that we'll be archiving these ideas on the siteowner web site, so that you can go back and view them whenever you like.

#10: Hear the Story of an Agritourism Pioneer - Knott's Berry Farm
From family farm to theme park, the Knott's Berry Farm story is an amazing tale of an early-day agritourism pioneer. Walter and Cordelia Knott settled on their Buena Park farmland in 1920 to harvest vegetables and berries, yet twenty years later they popularized the boysenberry, opened a restaurant with wait times up to four hours long, and developed a western Ghost Town. What the Knott family gave Southern California grew to become America's first theme park, the home of famed roller coasters and a grand-daddy of all Halloween celebrations, the Knott's Scary Farm Haunt.
We are excited to have J. Eric Lynxwiler, co-author of “Knott’s Preserved", joining us at the Corn Party to share the story of this famous California destination.

#9: We'll Be Visiting the World's Largest Ag Expo!
Dubbed the "superbowl of agriculture" by some, the World Ag Expo is one of the primary reasons we selected California as this year's destination for the Corn Party and it was overwhelmingly voted by many of you as a stop you wanted to have included in our itinerary.
Offering something for everyone, we'll spend a full day on our pre-conference bus tour exploring everything the expo has to offer, including a popular field trip learning center located adjacent to the Expo...the AgVentures Agri-Center.
