Durant la saison d’été nous proposons chaque Samedi du rafting sur l’Oronte ;

Vous passerez des moments inoubliables aux portes du désert qu’est le Hermel.

Alors prenons nos pagaies pour nous élancer dans les rapides dans Le Assi (Rivière de classe 2 avec quelques passages de 4 cascades).

L’Assi, l'Oronte, le Rebelle, et bien d'autres noms pour une même rivière est notre destination de cet été, vu que c'est la seule rivière qui est toujours navigable durant la saison sèche

Déroulement option 1 : 1 journée rafting

Départ de Beyrouth 7h30
halte à Chtaura pour une pause petit déjeuner.
Arrivée au Hermel et descente en raft
Dejeuner
Retour vers Beyrouth

Déroulement option 2 : Week-end rafting avec Camping

Départ de Beyrouth 7h30
halte à Chtaura pour une pause petit déjeuner.
arrivée au Hermel et repos autour d’un café
Set up camping
Dejeuner
Rafting dans l’après midi
Temps libre et Diner
Veillée et dodo
Dimanche : Petit déjeuner et décampement
Visite de Amouaa et de Mar Maroun
Retour vers Beyrouth et dejeuner optionel a Chtaura

Distance de Beyrouth : 140 km

Durée du trajet : 3 heures

Départ : 7.30 h de Hazmieh

A prévoir :

Maillot de bain, sandales, Tshirt (qui seront mouillés), chapeau, crème solaire, lunettes de soleil et serviette, des vêtements de rechange, espadrilles et un petit pull, pour ceux qui ont de petites fringales apportez vos biscuits et sucreries :))))

Pour ceux qui ont choisi l’option camping, prévoir un matelas de sol et un sac de couchage.

Tarifs

Option 1 :

70$ par personne incluant : Le transport en bus, l'assurance, le déjeuner du samedi, le matériel, raft, pagaies, gilets, casques et les guides.

Option 2 :

125$ par personne incluant : Le transport en bus, l'assurance, le déjeuner et diner du samedi, le petit déjeuner du dimanche, matériel, raft, pagaies, gilets, casques et les guides.

Faisabilite Il faut être au minimum 12 inscrits pour chaque option pour que la sortie ait lieu.

Rendez-vous : est à 7.15 h et le départ à 7.30 précise du parking qui est près des urgences de l'Hôpital du Sacre Cœur à Hazmieh. Pour y arriver prendre la première bifurcation à gauche en direction du Sacré Cœur. Soyez Ponctuel ! (voir la carte)

During the summer season we propose a rafting activities on the Orontes on each Saturday; please We will make you spend unforgettable moments at the gates of the desert which is the Hermel.

So Join us to take our paddles to hurl in the rapids of our tumultuous river.

The Assi River was named “Rebel because it flows from south to north unlike the rest of the rivers in the region and it is still navigable during the summer season.

2 options are available:

- 1 day rafting

- 1 week-end rafting with camping

Option 1 program: 1 day rafting

· Departure from Beirut at 7h30

· Stop at Chtaura for breakfast

· Arrival to Hermel and rafting

· Lunch

· Return to Beirut

Option 2 program : 1 Week-end rafting with camping

· Departure from Beirut at 7h30

· Stop at Chtaura for breakfast

· Arrival to Hermel and coffee break

· Set up the camp

· Lunch

· Rafting in the afternoon

· Free time and diner

· Overnight in tents

· Sunday : Breakfast and packing

· Visit of Ammouaa and St Marron convent.

· Return to Beirut with a stop at Chtaura for Lunch (not included in package)

Practical details:

Distance from Beirut: 140 km

Trip duration: 3 hours of bus (long but funny)

Departure: 7.30 from Hazmieh

What to bring:

Swimming suit, sandals, T-shirt, hat, sunglasses, sunscreen, lipstick, towel, spare clothes, spare shoes, light sweater, snack (biscuits and sweets).

For the camping option, bring a sleeping bag with mattress.

The price

Option 1: 1 day rafting

70$ per person including: bus transportation, insurance, lunch (trout & chich taouk), plus all the equipment, raft, paddles, life jacket, helmet and guides.

Option 2: Week end rafting

125$ per person including: bus transportation, insurance, lunch + Diner for Saturday breakfast for Sunday, plus all the equipment, raft, paddles, life jacket, helmet and guides.

Feasibility A minimum of 12 participants for each option is needed for the trip to take place.

Meeting place is at 7:15 am, departure at 7:30 am sharp from the parking near the Emergency Entry of the Sacré Cœur hospital Hazmieh. To reach it, take the road of the Presidential palace in front of the Hypermarché Abou Khalil Hazmieh, then the first turn left towards the hospital. Please, Be on time! ! (see map)
