parking lot with their cars. We almost had someone walking down our
street run over by a
customer who wasn't looking when exiting our parking lot.

Local Vendor Fair and Annual Membership Meeting Wrap-Up
would like to extend a big thank you to our Co-op family:
member-owners, vendors, customers, neighbors, and everyone who came to
our Local Vendor Fair on Saturday, May 21st. It was a beautiful day with
so many great foods to taste and products to sample. There were a lot
of great raffle prizes; thank you to all who donated. Thanks, too, to
the Cimo Brothers for the tunes! Finally, a special thanks to Gwen's
sister, Jackie, who entertained the smaller folk with Oobleck
(cornstarch and water), which is one of four types of non-Newtonian
fluids. And yes, you should read about them here

President Eric Michielssen spoke at the Annual Membership Meeting about
our terrific year, the newly competitive environment for organic
groceries here in SLO, and future options for the Co-op's growth.

plan for a mural on the fence that we share with our neighbor, David.
We're looking for ideas on what to paint, leadership to coordinate the
project, and volunteers to do the painting.

Did you know that the monthly Board of Directors meeting is open to owners of SLO Natural Foods Co-op? If you are an owner or member (we sometimes use these words interchangeably), you are welcome to attend. Every meeting opens with a public comment period.
