If you are new here, welcome!

The first week has gone along smoothly. Students are finding their classes and learning how to figure out lunches. We've met with all classes except the Senior Class (today.)

One of the things we've shared with the classes is that we have contracted with a K-9 program. The canines are taught to smell drugs, synthetic drugs, gunpowder, vape ingredients and nicotine. I've seen a demonstration but not experienced them performing a search. They bring in a full team of dogs and can go through the school and parking lot in just a few minutes.

Students are quickly getting back into their routines. This long weekend will be miserable next week if they go back to summer patterns. I have to remind myself to stay on the new sleep schedule.

It is great having the kids back in the building!

Be Well,
Scott Sherman
