Dear Community Partners,
For 20 years, L.A. Works has been proud of our record of support for organizations throughout Los Angeles. By helping to recruit and place volunteers, we have strengthened the capacity of our partners to carry out their important work.
We soon hope to move forward as a volunteer center by becoming a Service Enterprise, and training interested Partners in becoming one as well.
Service Enterprises utilize volunteers in a more intelligent, strategic and effective way. They seek to realign their volunteer engagement infrastructure and practices to realize much greater returns on investment in volunteers, including higher programmatic impact and greater operational efficiencies.

Community Engagement Survey
|
As we begin developing our Service Enterprise program, we are inviting partners to take part in a survey that will inform the direction that this program takes in the future.
This survey focuses on your organization's community engagement and volunteer involvement efforts. It does not require any preparation or gathering of material and will require only 15-20 minutes of your time. Your results will be kept confidential, and the results of the survey will be shared with participants once all responses are in.
Our expectation is that this program will be ready to go by Fall of this year. At that time we will reach out to you again to see if you are interested in training to become a Service Enterprise.

Thank you in advance for your time and participation.
Sincerely,
The L.A. Works Staff

Have you noticed: L.A. Works has a new website!
|
If you haven't noticed, L.A. Works has updated our website at www.laworks.com. Our new site has a sharper look and enhanced features for both volunteers and partners.
Eventually, parters will have the ability to manage their volunteer postings directly, including posting new opportunities and editing existing postings. Partners will also be able to track volunteer attendance & hours through our system. We expect these changes to be rolled out later in the year.
In the meantime, if you have any questions or concerns about the new site, please email Gilbert Gonzales, Program Director, at L.A. Works.
