Energy Independence Summit 2012
|
NJCCC encourages you to join us at the Energy Independence Summit 2012, scheduled for March 25-28 in Washington, DC.
Organized by Transportation Energy Partners (TEP), the Summit will bring together the nation’s clean transportation leaders to share best practices and educate federal policy makers about the benefits of the U.S. Department of Energy’s Clean Cities Program and the need for additional tools and resources to overcome barriers to the widespread use of clean vehicles and fuels.
The 2012 Energy Independence Summit is extremely important as we seek to maintain momentum for the clean transportation industry. As Congress and the Administration focus on reducing the deficit, all federal programs and tax incentives are under scrutiny and vulnerable to significant cuts. The Summit will provide an excellent opportunity to demonstrate the broad-based grassroots support among business leaders, state and local government officials, and community leaders for clean transportation energy policies that enhance energy security and create new jobs.
The 2012 Summit will feature educational sessions and presentations from the nation’s leading clean transportation experts on:
· Federal funding and incentives to promote alternative fuels, vehicles and infrastructure;
· Successful alternative fuels and vehicle projects across the country; and
· Innovative state and local policies and programs that are advancing markets for cleaner fuels and vehicles.
TEP is offering a $100 discount on the registration fees for NJ Clean Cities stakeholders who wish to attend the Summit. The more supporters who join our effort, the greater the impact we will have.
Contact us if you are interested in being a sponsor at this highly visible event.

Petroleum Displacement - Annual Report Reminder
|
|
Does your NJ fleet include any hybrids? Do you use any alternative fuels such as biodiesel or compressed natural gas? Do you have any idle-reduction policies in effect?
If so, then I need your help!
The activities of our NJCCC stakeholders in 2010 resulted in the displacement of almost 2,000,000 gallons of petroleum! I am sure that our collective efforts in 2011 will result in doubling of that figure.
Please take the time to provide the information in whatever format works for you. Your participation in this is key to the accurate measurement of the petroleum reduction activities in NJ. If you have the data available in another format, please send that as it is the data that's important, not the format. Please privide this information to me as soon as possible.

On February 23, Chuck will be leading a delegation of national experts on biodiesel at a meeting with both the NJ Board of Public Utilities and the NJ Department of Environmental Protection.
Thank you for your time, and let me know if any questions. The NJ Clean Cities Coalition is an independent 501c3 non profit corporation focused on education and projects related to the reduction of petroelum in the transportation sector. We rely on grants, contracts and the support of our members, friends and other stakeholders to fund our
activities. We appreciate your support!
