The 44,000-square-foot (38,500, production; 5,500, office) facility processes 25,000 pounds per day, employing 50. It features a tunnel washer, six washer-extractors and fully automated systems for clean and soil conveying, press-to-dryer shuttling and dryer-to-finishing conveying.
A session before the tour will acquaint attendees with principles that guided NOVO and ARCO/ Murray Construction in creating a maximum-throughput processing environment. You’ll learn how they mapped steps, sized systems to keep production moving and otherwise deployed industry best practices including optimizing use of building height. After the visit, a panel of the plant’s management will accompany attendees back to the conference host hotel (Omni Nashville) to lend further insight into the operation.
