Goodwick Brass Band Presentation
Goodwick Brass Band was originally formed in 1911 by the headmaster of the local school. The band was reformed in 1987 by John Evans and since then has grown from strength to strength, it now has both an active senior and youth band which takes its membership from a wide cross section of the community from all over Pembrokeshire.

The Band has seen increasing success in the contest arena having recently been promoted to the first section and also growing acclaim on the concert stage. The band rounded off a tremendous string of achievements last year by becoming Welsh Second Section champions with Matthew Jenkins being named Welsh Conductor of the Year principally for his commitment to developing new young brass talent.

The event was hosted by the Provincial Senior Grand Warden, W Bro Mansel Hughes and his lovely wife Linda and it was an opportunity for this year's Active Provincial Officers to pay tribute to the support they received from their Ladies over the course of the Masonic year. It was also an opportunity to pay tribute to our Past Provincial Grand Master RW Bro Eric Mock. £1.5m Donated to Air Ambulance Services
Every year the air ambulance services in England and Wales save thousands of lives by providing rapid medical care in emergencies.

Since 2007, Freemasons have donated more than £1.5 million in support, including this year’s grant of £192,000 from The Freemasons’ Grand Charity.

Speaking about the donation Laura Chapman, Chief Executive of The Freemasons’ Grand Charity, said:

“A great many lives would be lost without the swift life-saving help provided by the air ambulance doctors and paramedics.

"This is why Freemasons are passionate about supporting the air ambulance services in England and Wales.

"Air ambulance charities are reliant on voluntary donations to operate, and we hope that our contributions will help them to continue saving lives in the future.”
