BPS Wins Kingswood Salver For 2nd Year! |
This Saturday saw several members of BPS travelling down the M5 to Bovey Tracey to attend the annual WCPF Kingswood Trophy competition. This is a competition for clubs in the Federation, with each competing club submitting a panel of 5 prints in an attempt to win the Kingswood Salver for the best overall panel. In addition, there is also an award, The Vivian Croucher Plate, for the best individual print. Well, we did it! BPS swept the board, winning both the Kingswood Salver and the Vivian Croucher Plate (the individual award went to Mike Hall for his print called Sadhu).
The winning panel and individual prints are shown below:
Thanks to everyone who submitted images and to the following whose photos made up the panel:
In order - David Alderson; Mike Hall; Mike Martin; Ramesh Chauhan; Barry Mead.
Joint Judges were Jane and Adrian Lines.

So, time to start shooting images for 2023 – can we make it 3 wins in a row? For all you nature workers this is your chance to get involved – Mike’s putting you on notice to shoot birds against a plain green background to match this:
Mike found several potential images - but can we make it the 5 required for a workable panel? |
STUDIO GROUP - SPECIAL SHOOT |
SATURDAY 19 NOVEMBER: 11am – 2pm (ish – or when we finish)
Apologies for the short notice and to those members involved in the Judging Seminar that clashes.
This is the second visit by Joe Martin and I’m sure you won’t be disappointed - and he will return if you miss this opportunity.
Cost: a very reasonable £25 per person, Max 5 people. Please contact Mike to book your place – places will be allocated on a first come basis:
Joe will be playing two separate characters, one called Blaidd: half man/half wolf – not to be missed. |
For those of you who aren't sure what MPAGB, EFIAP/s and many more such seemingly random collections of letters mean, just click here to see the list.
