Well, last week was a miraculous one. Somehow we jumped from 57% to 100% in 5 days!!! In fact, with 3 days left to go, the Kickstarter Campaign is currently at 114%!!!
My mind has been blown over and over again.
My heart is so full!
Today my bassist and I packed up his SUV with his upright, his 3 electric basses, my keyboard, and a bunch of other stuff and treked up to Boston. We met up with my producer Dave Brophy, who will also be drumming on the album and jumped right in to starting the project. So today was an epic one. We will be up here all week pulling 10-hour studio days to finish the first of many portions of this project.

Well, like I mentioned, there are 3 days left in this campaign. It means, if you are someone who's been wanting to give but waited til the last minute,

If we reach $20,000 I am committing to release the album on vinyl!
If we reach $23,000 I am committing to do something people have asked me to do for years - record and release an album of cover songs with my band.

what's the extra $ for?
$15k does alot, but it doesn't do everything.
It covers studio rental, album design and duplication, and fairly employing every individual who will be part of this project - producer/drummer, bassist, mixing engineer, mastering engineer, backing vocalists, and any auxiliary musicians - horn section, string player(s)...etc. $20k+ will to the most important part of any project - PROMOTION - specifically a capable publicist who can do the album justice and get it to the right media outlets.
My other immediate publicity goals include releasing a music video to launch
the album with momentum.
