I cannot gush enough about this production that I saw last night (click pic for a video of one scene). For those unaware, Hoboken Public District School’s award winning (click on both) theater department puts on a District-wide production each year – this means it includes kids of all ages and grades.  This year’s is the musical rendition of The Addams Family.  I saw it last night and it was just amazing!  The four Hoboken students in the main roles as Morticia, Gomez, Wednesday and Uncle Fester bring you right back to the movie starring Anjelica Houston, Raul Julia, Christina Ricci and Christopher Lloyd in the same roles.  The crowd laughed and cheered many times. The set was incredible using projection technology for the first time.  And the orchestra of professional musicians rounded out this incredible production.  And… the pic below, if you click it, shows all the littlest actors in action – who doesn’t love to see four year olds dressed as trees and dancing… (the entire audience cheered!).

HOBOKEN’S SPRING ARTS & MUSIC FESTIVAL

Tomorrow (Sunday) from 1100am - 6pm on Washington Street between Observer Highway and 7th.  Food, music, gifts, art, and activities galore… Headlining the Observer Highway Stage is Buster Poindexter at 430pm.  If you like Latin Music and pop covers like me, then head to a personal favorite of mine, Maxima Alerta, who will be on the 7th Street stage at 3pm.

Given the event goes all day, be sure to squeeze in going to see The Addams Family at 2 somewhere in the middle!

What a special community we have.  Have an incredible weekend!  And please forward this to everyone you think may be interested in these events.  Also, feel free to reach out via email, text or phone (201-208-1674) about this or anything else important to you.
Thank you and hope to see you around town this weekend!
