REAL MANATEES IN DANGER! - Last year 637 manatees died in Florida due to starvation. Over 738 manatees have died this year already and the number could reach 1000 by the end of the year. Relaxed environmental and development regulations over the last 12 years have led to a surge in human pollution. Poorly treated wastewater and phosphorus in farm runoff have created toxic algae blooms that kill the seagrass that manatees eat to survive. More than half the manatee deaths this year occurred in the Indian River Lagoon which stretches for 156 miles along the Space and Treasure coasts. To voice your concerns please contact the Florida Department Of Environmental Protection (DEP) Inspector General (candie.fuller@dep.state.fl.us), and the Florida Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) 1-800-424-8802. WILL & RAY LIVE STREAM CONCERT! - Where there's a Will, there's a Ray. On Sunday evening, June 6, at 8:00 PM EST, Ray Adkins and I will be broadcasting a live stream concert on The Mighty Manatees Band Facebook page and on Instagram @themightymanatees. We will be playing songs by James Taylor and Bruce Cockburn, as well as many of our own songs, plus a new video by Todd Brown! Back in 1985, Ray and I were the original co-founders of The Manatees.

FREE CONCERT IN THE PARK! - It's true! On Thursday, June 10, our electric 6-piece band will play our 7th annual free concert in Upper Salford Park from 7:00 to 8;30 PM. RETURN TO HOTEL FIESOLE! - For those of you who have been asking, we are happy to announce that we will be back playing the 3rd Friday of every month at Hotel Fiesole in Skippack, PA beginning on September 17.
