24V 250W ELC lampen - nu beschikbaar in lange branduren versies
De ELC lamp (24V, 250W), veel gebruikt in 16mm filmprojectoren kunnen we nu ook leveren in long-life uitvoeringen. Naast de normale 50 branduren versie, nu ook beschikbaar in 500 en 1000 branduren versies. Let op, de 1000 branduren versie is in bestelling en wordt begin januari werwacht.
ELC 24V 250W lamps - now available in long-life versions
The ELC lamp (24V, 250W), widely used in 16mm film projectors, is now also available in long-life versions. In addition to the normal 50 hours version, now also available in 500 and 1000 hours. Note that the 1000 hours version is in back-order and will be available beginning of Januari 2014.

Wat de consumentenbond schrijft over films overzetten
De consumentenbond heeft zojuist een artikel gepubliceerd over smalfilms overzetten. Hier een paar stukjes uit dit artikel:
Niets fijner op een regenachtige najaarsmiddag dan ratelfilmpjes van vroeger kijken.
Maar eeuwig houdbaar zijn de smalfilms en bijbehorende projectoren niet, en ook de
videorecorders uit de jaren tachtig zullen het op een dag begeven.
Wil je je eerste stapjes nog aan je kleinkinderen kunnen laten zien, dan zul je de boel dus moeten digitaliseren.
Zelf smalfilm digitaliseren is buitengewoon moeilijk, want een projector kun je niet aan de computer koppelen. Uitbesteden dus!
Over scannen in standard defintion versus high definition:
Niet alle experts geloven dat het zin heeft om smalfilms te scannen met een hogere resolutie dan 576 pixels hoog. De een zegt: "Het beeld wordt niet scherper, alleen de korrel van de film wordt zichtbaar " De ander: "Ik dacht ook dat het geen zin had om te scannen in hd, maar bij de nieuwe scanners is het hd-beeld een stuk scherper." Ook in een filmpje dat wij lieten scannen, zagen wij wel degelijk verschil in scherpte.
Dutch Consumers's association article on transfering films and video
The Dutch Consumers' Association has just published an article about transfering films. Here are a few quotes:
Nothing finer on a rainy autumn afternoon than watching old films. But, these films, nor the projectors are eternally preservable, and the VCRs from the eighties will fail someday. If you want to show your first steps to your grandchildren, then the material needs to be digitized .
Self film digitizing is extremely difficult , because a projector can not beconnected to the computer . So, Outsourcing!
Scanning in standard definition versus high definition :
Not all experts believe that it makes sense to scan 8mm films at a higher resolution of 576 pixels. One says : "The picture is not sharp, only the grain of the film is shown" The other: "I also thought that it made no sense to scan in HD , but with the new scanners, the high-definition scans are much sharper." Also in a film that was scanned for us, we definitely saw a difference in sharpness .

Zelf uw video's bewerken
Nieuw in ons assortiment hebben we hardware en software waarmee U zelf aan de slag kunt gaan om video's in te kunnen lezen op uw computer en om uw video's te kunnen bewerken.
In het artikel van de consumentenbond heeft U kunnen lezen dat het zelf overzetten van film erg lastig is en U beter kunt uitbesteden. Wel kunt U heel goed zelf, van de gedigitaliseerde beelden, een mooie film monteren. Bijvoorbeeld door de kleuren en helderheid aan te passen, er titels bij te zetten, stukken uit te knippen, muziek erbij te zetten, en dergelijke.
De pakketten van Pinnacle zijn erg gebruiksvriendelijk en komen erg goed uit de test. Tevens hebben we expertise in huis van Pinnacle Studio en kunnen U verder helpen indien U daar vragen over heeft. Ook geven we cursussen in video monteren met Pinnacle.
Voor het inlezen van videobestanden hebben we de Dazzle DVD Recorder HD. Dit kastje sluit U eenvoudig aan op de USB poort van de computer. Daarna kunt U via analoge kabels een video recorder of bijvoorbeeld hi8 camera aansluiten.
Video editing hardware and software
In the above article, from the Dutch Customers' Accociation, the conclusiong is that digitizing films yourself is very hard and that you can better source this out. However after your videos or films has been digitized you can edit these files to a nice film yourself. For example by improving the color and clarity, add titles, edit scenes and add music / narration to the film.
We provide the video editing software from Pinnacle (Pinnacle Studio), which is user-friendly and well approciated in several independent tests. Also we have the expertise in Pinnacle Studio and can provide you support. Also we provide courses in working with Pinnacle studio.
For capturing video from you analog device (like VHS, hi8) we provide the Dazzle DVD Recorder HD. This device is put between de video-player and the computer and is connected via a USB port of your computer.

Elektronica kits voor Bauer studio projectoren T502, T510, T610
We hebben nu ook setjes met de electronische componenten in ons assortiment van de Bauer studio line projectoren.
Deze zijn speciaal samengesteld uit de onderdelen die het vaakst defect gaan. Gezien de leeftijd van deze projectoren en onze ervaring met reparaties daarvan, raden we aan om deze onderdelen preventief te vervangen. De setjes bestaan uit hoogwaardige componenten (beter dan er origineel inzit). De setjes zijn er al vanaf Euro 10,68.
Indien U het wenst kunnen wij deze onderdelen ook voor U vervangen (tegen vergoeding).

Electronics kits for Studio Projectors Bauer T502, T510, T610
We now also have kits with the electronic components in our assortment for the Bauer studio line projectors.
These kits contain the most often defective parts. Given the age of these projectors and our experience in repair, we recommend to replace these parts preventive. The sets contain high quality components (better than there original parts). The price of the kits start at Euro 10,68.
If you wish, we can also replace these parts for you (for a fee).
