Dear Neighbors,
Saturday morning early voting begins — for the first time in Hoboken —  at City Hall until October 31st with voting from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. every day but Sunday which is from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
You can also vote by mail by mailing your ballot or dropping it in a secure ballot box at City Hall or the Stevens Campus before November 2nd. Voting is now easier than ever!
Whatever method you choose, I hope you join me and support Mayor Bhalla and his City Council team of Jim Doyle (5H), Emily Jabbour (7H), and Joe Quintero (6H). You can read my full endorsement here.
Team Bhalla has also earned the endorsements of 32BJ SEIU the largest property service workers union, New Jersey League of Conservation Voters one of New Jersey’s leading environmental organizations, Hudson County Commissioner Anthony Romano, and many friends and neighbors.
I’ve seen first-hand how Emily and Jim have worked with Mayor Bhalla on the most critical issues facing our City. Through the work Jim and Emily have done on the Council, we’ve been able to move forward with several improvements in pedestrian safety through Vision Zero, expand the Southwest Resiliency Park, acquire the Union Dry Dock, block the Monarch development, make progress on our Northwest Resiliency Park, replace thousands of linear feet of our aging water mains, and much more.
Over the past few years, I’ve also seen another committed public servant in Joe Quintero. Already, Joe has put out well-researched policy positions on flooding, transportation, and open space issues. Joe is 100% committed to moving ahead with a park at Union Dry Dock, adding parks with underground flood infrastructure at the Southwest Park and at 800 Monroe, installing protected bike lanes, bringing an on-demand ride-sharing program like Jersey City has with Via to Hoboken, and more – projects I’m excited to work on with Joe as my Council colleague.
Most importantly, I know Jim, Emily and Joe are in this race for the right reasons – to improve the quality of life for our residents. I hope you will join me and support Team Bhalla.

Sincerely,

Phil Cohen
