Dear Library Minyan,
Our dear friend and long time Library Minyan member, Dr. Cathie-Ann Lippman, has been dealing with Parkinson’s. She is currently experiencing tremors, some difficulty speaking and has diminished fine motor control.
There are two ways in which we as a community can help her and her husband Jules Kamin.
1. Since Jules is at work in the afternoons, Cathie would love to have visitors in the afternoons during the week. They live in the West Hollywood area.
2. Jules is looking to hire a caregiver for Cathie for 5-6 hours every weekday afternoon to assist in preparing and serving a light lunch, driving Cathie to doctor’s appointments and physical therapy, and to keep her company. The caregiver must have a driver’s license and preferably have a recent negative Covid test or vaccinations.
There are agencies offering caregivers, but Jules and Cathie would prefer to hire someone that comes personally recommended. Also, there is no need for meals at this time.
If you or someone you know can provide either of these support requests, please reach out to Jules at juleskamin@gmail.com or call his cell at (323) 717-2003.
Our thoughts and prayers go out to Cathie (Chana bat Hinda) and Jules at this difficult time. Thank you in advance for participating in this important mitzvah. I am proud to be a member of such a loving and supportive community.
