Art Below's 10th Anniversary Exhibition

Art Below's 10th Anniversary Exhibition showcases their most iconic artist posters from ten years of exhibitions presented throughout the London Underground.

Curated by Ben Moore, the 10th Anniversary Exhibition includes a selection of posters by artists, such as Banksy, Antony Micallef, Marcus Harvey, Polly Morgan, Paul Fryer, Ben Eine, Sarah Maple, Alison Jackson, Hayden Kays, Oliver Clegg, Mr.Brainwash, D*Face, Charming Baker and Billy Childish,  and many more, who have collaborated with Art Below on organised exhibitions across various London Underground stations over the last 10 years. 

Art Below is a curatorial group founded in 2006 by brothers Ben and Simon Moore. They use poster sites in underground stations to display artworks in London and internationally. The group has nurtured an international community of artistic talent and has displayed the works of over 3,000 artists in London, Tokyo, Berlin, New Orleans. Their first exhibition in Los Angeles Metro system will take place this January in Grand Union Station.

Through each of their projects Art Below aim to enrich the lives of the general public whilst simultaneously providing a platform for emerging and established artists. 

The London Underground projects are programmed in conjunction with gallery exhibitions which have included shows at The Saatchi Gallery, The V&A, The Candid Arts Trust, The Hospital Club and The Ivy Club. 

This exhibition will include 50 large-scale posters (1m x 1.5m) and a selection of 200 smaller prints (40 x 50cm). The smaller prints will be sold to raise funds for the charity Missing People and the Missing Tom Fund.

Also in the exhibition will be a selection of banned posters and posters that have been removed due to controversy including Banksy, Marcus Harvey, Paul Fryer, Antony Micallef, Lora Hristova and the longest serving UK prisoner Charles Bronson.

On show will also be new and original work by a special selection of 30 artists who are currently included in an Art Below exhibition of posters in Regent’s Park tube station. Artists include Miranda Donovan, Anna Fafaliou, Holly Carlson, James Mylne, Robert Lee Davis, Lisa Cirenza, Luke M Walker, Kim Anna Smith and Noah Da Costa.

Notes to Editors

The Missing Tom Fund 
50% of the proceeds from the Art Below's 10th Anniversary Exhibition will go to the Missing Tom Fund, which was started up specifically to raise money to support the search for Thomas Moore. Tom left his family home in 2003. He was aged 31 years old. His friends and family have not heard from him since then. Now 12 years on, with the support of the Missing People Charity his family continue to search for Tom.  www.missingtom.com

Ben Moore, Founder of Art Below, has had over 10 years experience working with artists, museums, charities and arts organisations, initiating and managing partnerships to deliver new public arts projects.
